SOUTH COASTAL COUNTIES LEGAL SERVICES, INC.
On January 1, 2006, Legal Services for Cape, Plymouth and Islands, Inc. merged with another legal aid provider, Southeastern Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corp., to become one of the largest law firms in southeast Massachusetts. The new organization, South Coastal Counties Legal Services, Inc., will have offices in Hyannis, Brockton, Fall River and New Bedford. The new organization is pursuing a new brand of excellence in the provision of legal services to low income and elderly individuals in the entire southeast region. Client accessibility to services should remain unchanged. The new organization is committed to continuing to work with all the communities in its expanded service area in meeting the human services needs of its residents.
